Editor's review
An RSS feed reader that can be used for a variety of content including media websites, podcasts, video logs, blogs and customized search results. Obviously as the name suggests oriented toward a certain kind of content: rumors about VIPs / Celebrity gossip.
Pros: The VIP Rumor RSS Reader is like a typical RSS reader except that it specializes in delivering RSS feeds of a certain kind, those that involve news and information about celebrities, celebrity gossip or VIP rumors.
The interface is simple and lists feeds by the time they were updated along with a short description and the page’s title. The selected page opens in a browser pane so one does not have to open a web browser to be able to see the desired content. It also allows the user to save content that can be viewed when offline. It has a default list of the most popular feeds and more feeds can be added if you so desire (in the “My Feeds” section).
Cons: Although it gets the job done the interface is not well-designed and it would be better to see for example all the descriptions in a column line up. That is an example, but there are such small glitches in the interface, not to mention that the color scheme is not great. This is also specifically suited for users who are interested in this kind of stuff. Although in theory it is possible to use this to view the feeds that you want (even non celebrity), it is likely that general users will prefer to use a different product.
Overall: 3 stars. It does the job for the target audience, but the interface could be better.
